Why I Care
My life is in Salem. I've lived here for decades and am raising my children in our public school system, watching them enjoy our parks, utilize our library, and participate in community events.
I've also run my own business here.
Through these experiences, I've witnessed both the city's highs and lows. My family and I have a deep devotion to this city, and currently, we're facing some challenges.
I don't conform to traditional political categories like left or right; my focus is on what's best for all of us who call this place home.
“My family and I love this city, and right now, Salem is in a tough spot.”

Smart Spending
Our city’s been spending a lot, and it feels
like nobody’s asking the voters about it.
Every dollar matters, especially when it comes from hard-working folks like you.
I will ensure our money is being used wisely.
Helping Our Homeless Neighbors
We spent over $18 million on homelessness last year, and still, more folks are on the streets. That’s unacceptable. We need an effective plan to get people back on their feet.
Championing Local Businesses
Local shops and businesses are what make Salem special. When they do well, we all do well.
Thriving businesses mean good jobs and a vibrant community. Let’s give them all the support they need.
Safety & Crime
Crime rates continue to rise, and that’s scary. Substance use disorder is at the root of the problem, and law enforcement is spread thin. We need to find a way to hold people accountable for their actions while also providing the assistance they need to make better choices.
Affordable Housing
Salem is growing, and houses just seem to get more expensive. It doesn’t make sense that a teacher can’t even buy a home in the city where they teach our kids. Salem should be a place where everyone has access to housing, without breaking the bank.
Clear, Measurable Goals
Above all, we need a system of accountability and a well-defined process for measuring outcomes for any project the City of Salem takes on. Let the results speak for themselves;
if something’s not working, stop throwing money at it and try a different way.
It’s that simple.
